Chilihead BBQ (A GOOD FRIDAY For Music)

Rock and Roll Diary

Last night I played at The Chilihead Barbeque Co. located on RT 106 in West Bridgewater MA. I was joined by Chrissy White for the performance.

About The Venue

The Chilihead BBQ is an awesome venue for live music especially for acoustic solo or duo acts. It is an intimate setting for live music and has delicious genuine BBQ selections on the menu. The owner Paul is also the chef and he always has something special to offer in addition to the daily menu. Last night the offering was Corona beer battered fish n chips, artichoke pasta with jumbo shrimp, and pork shanks with demi glaze and aged balsamic. There were also some new special margarita's 'Walk the Dog', 'Dirty Water' and 'Silver Sunrise'. Paul always makes the rounds to visit and chat with customers to be sure that everything is great and that people are enjoying themselves. You can read more info on the Chilihead story here.

The Show

The music started at 7:30PM and we played two long sets. At one point I played a few tunes solo and then Chrissy played some selections solo. We played a collection of classic rock tunes including songs from Led Zeppelin, The Moody Blues, Jethro Tull, Lynryd Skynard. There were a few country and irish tunes thrown in along with some classic sing-along songs.

Special People

Special people make occasions special and last night there were a bunch of special people at the show.

Guest Performances

There were a number of guest performers last night. Miles got up and played some tunes solo.

Miles also played a tune with Sven playing the harmonica.

My friend Dick performed a legendary version of Wild Thing :-)

Early in the evening Sven joined me for a couple of tunes.

Cathy accompanied Chrissy with some tamborine while Chrissy played a tune on the flute.

The Road Ahead

I will be returning to play at The Chilihead BBQ on September 3rd. Tonight I will be playing at The Piccadilly Pub on RT 28 in Randolph.
