KC's November 2010

The November show at KCs was a great night. It was a band show with my friends Mike Shea and Mike McHugh.

We got a little help from our friends during the show too. Cindy played the tambourine on a couple songs.

Jeff got up and sang a couple songs including an awesome rendition of Reflections a classic song from the group The Marmalade.

I met Jeff and Cindy doing a show at Bridge Street Grille in Weymouth. I have met a lot of cool people doing shows at Bridge Street.

Folks like Siobhan and Kim.

Later in the evening my friend Bobby got up to sing an Oasis tune and Willie sang some Rod Stewart.

My friends Michelle and Christine came out for some fun and music.

Although I didn't catch them all with the camera there was great group with the Mullen contingent that evening. I will be playing a benefit, the Sgt Jeffrey Mullen Scholarship Dance, on January 14. Drop me a line for more info.

There were some nice folks there I hadn't met before at KC's.

More shows are planned at KC's in the Spring. Next band show will be New Year's Eve at O'Toole's in Whitman.

Thanksgiving Eve At Louis Crossing

On Thanksgiving eve I played at Louis Crossing in the Houghs Neck section of Quincy Mass. Besides being Thanksgiving Eve it was a doubly special evening because my friend Joanne was celebrating her birthday. She went to the Celts with friends and they all stopped in to Louis Crossing after the game. They even got into the act singing along (see above Joanne, Liz, and Marianne).

I am originally from Quincy so when I play at Louis Crossing I see a lot of friends. My friend Joe was there early in the evening with some of his family.

My friend Mike Shea (shown below) stopped by for a couple tunes. Mike plays drums with me when I do band shows.

I went to school with Mike, Deb and Lisa. It is great to see friends again.

I met Sue when I was playing at Marina Bay.

My friend Joe was there with his wife Terry. It is alway Nine O'Clock on a Saturday when Joe is at a show.

Leslie, Pete, Jim, John, Roberta, and Brenda had dinner and stayed later to listen to tunes.

Margaret McLean Laforest was there. She is a City Councillor.

We had a visitor from Italy shown above with Brenda.

It was nice to see the Cuneo's later in the evening.

Thanksgiving is a home coming time. It was great to see Bobby Thompson who has been living out in California.

There are more pics here.

A good number of folks were there although they were there at different times in the evening. Later in the night I went unplugged and we had a sing along at the bar. It was nice.

Definitely looking forward to more shows at Louis Crossing. Stay tuned for future dates.

Chubby's November 2010

In November I had my second gig at Chubby's Bar and Grill in North Providence. Chubby's is a great place to hang out, get something to eat and listen to some live music. I like the folks who hang out there. Check it out online at the place page for Chubby's.

It was a special occasion as this evening I met Jess in person for the first time. She is a cancer survivor and the inspiration behind the song Hope Rains Down. If you were one of the people who got a copy of the A Better Day CD the song is on there.

We have a mutual friend Jenn (She's An Ass Kicker) and we have been online friends for sometime. The idea behind the song about Jess came from the design of her my space page. When you visited her page the word hope would appear all over it and then fall down the page like rain.

It was great to finally meet Jess. She brought a crew with her and we had a lot of fun. Jess even got up and sang a couple songs. It was a blast.

A double bonus for the night was that my ultra cool friend Donna was able to come by to listen to the tunes. It was great to get to see and hang out with Donna for a while. We met years ago when I played in a cover band that played a gig at Shooters in Providence.

The people at Chubby's are great!

Really looking forward to my next gig at Chubby's.

Back at Chubby's on December 11th!

McGuiggan's November 13, 2010

Saturday November 13th was a great show at McGuiggan's Pub in Whitman center. My friend Ericka (one of the angels above) brought Melissa (the other angel) and a bunch of other friends to the show.

It was awesome to see folks dance and enjoy the tunes.

My friend Brenda was there with a big crew (this is the ladies and one of the gents, John). :-)

I met Adam and Michelle, very nice folks. They had front row seats for most of the night.

Played Soulshine for my friends Tricia and Glenn and met Alison.

It was really cool to see Jackie again.

The only thing I can say about these people is "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" :-)

I played my original She's An Ass Kicker for my friend Theresa. Not every day I play that song.

My friends Jacqui and Ernie came all the way from north of Boston for two shows on the south shore and I am honored that mine was one of them. They probably between them have the world record in concert going.

It was cool to talk with Pam and Mary from my home town.

This guy got the team haircut for the evening.

The folks at McGuiggan's are awesome. Back at McQuiggan's February 12th.

The Tinker's Son November 2010

In November I played for the first time at a cool Irish establishment located on RT123 in Norwell, MA called The Tinker's Son. This location was formerly Mount Blue. I had gone to a Sunday night open mic there some time ago and really enjoyed the place. The food was great, I had a veggie wrap that was awesome. The place has a nice environment too. Check out the website for The Tinker's Son. This was my first official gig there.

It was a pleasant surprise to see my friend Kelly.

My friend Mike who often joins me for band gigs on the drums was there. Mike is shown above with Bobby Sheehan. Bobby is showing off an NHL Stanley Cup ring. This was the 2nd time meeting Bobby at a show. He is a nice guy. Bobby played in the NHL at a time when not many Americans played at that level. You can read more about him in this Sports Illustrated article.

That night I met Brian Rojik of the band Elbow Room. Check them out here.

I met a lot of nice folks.

I took requests.

People were very receptive.

The folks at Tinker's are great.

My next gig at The Tinker's Son is February 17th.

Damien's Pub November 2010

Last Saturday night I had a performance at Damien's Pub in Hanson Mass. Damien's is on RT 58 in Hanson and they have the best pizza in town. It was an awesome night!

My daughters came to the show with friends and that made it a very special night.

My friend Chrissy White made an appearance and sang a few songs. It was great to see so many friends at the show.

Some that I hadn't seen in some time.

People were having lots of fun.

There was a celebration going on with a young lady celebrating her 21st birthday.

People weren't quite dancing on the tables but a lot of people danced.

I met a bunch of nice people.

I took a lot of requests.

Its a really nice crowd at Damien's.

I got a couple 'before and after' pictures in the crowd. :-)

I love playing at Damien's.

The folks who work there are super.

Looking forward to be back at Damien's in 2011. Next show at Damien's is Friday January 7th!
