Louis Crossing

This past Friday night I kicked off a weekend full of shows by playing for the first time at Louis Crossing in the Houghs Neck neighborhood of Quincy Mass.

Louis Crossing is a neighborhood restaurant and bar that serves great food, and is run by some really nice folks.

Louis Crossing has a family friendly atmosphere.

I was so happy that some friends I hadn't seen in a while were able to make it out for this show.

Houghs Neck is close to both Adams Shore and Germantown. As it turned out the evening was a mini reunion for Adams Shore folks. I saw some people I hadn't seen in many years. It was nice that some folks from 'G Town' came out for the tunes too.

My friend Jimmy Neilsen is a country singer. He has performed the national anthem at many big events. Since it was Independence Day weekend I asked Jimmy to sing The Star Spangled Banner. He also did a Kenny Chesney tune with me playing the guitar part. People enjoyed Jimmy's singing and thought having the anthem sung was a nice touch.

The previous weekend I played a wedding and The Newlyweds were back from their honeymoon. I got to play the song sung for their first dance once again for them to dance.

It really was a great night at Louis Crossing and it was awesome to see so many friends at the show. Folks really enjoyed themselves.

There were lots of sing alongs and lots of happy faces throughout the night.

Really looking forward to playing at Louis Crossing again. Next show there is August 14th!
