There was a fun show at The Chilihead BBQ in West Bridgewater. Chilihead has live music most nights of the week, has a full bar and serves great BBQ.
The summer season at Nantasket Beach in Hull kicked off this month and I had two great shows at Daddy's Beach Club.
Daddy's has a friendly staff, great pizza and an awesome view of the ocean.
Daddy's is family friendly on Saturday afternoon when I play and bathers are welcome.
I played three shows in Quincy Mass in June. The first was at Louis Crossing in Houghs Neck. Louis' has great seafood and a nice atmosphere.
I played at Paddy Barry's the 'greatest little pub in the world.'
I played for the first time at the Quincy Elks club this month. It is a very nice place.
I played a couple of really fun shows at JP Greer's in Weymouth Mass this month. So much fun at JP Greer's. :-)
I took part this month in a new 'Acoustic Series' at Steve's Backstage Pass in Taunton Mass. Steve's Backstage Pass is a venue where music is the raison d'etre. It is always great to play at a place where music is the main focus.
It was exciting to get some radio airplay in June. I appeared for a 30 minute performance on The Eclectic Picnic program hosted by Bryan Edwards (shown on the right in the photo below). My friend Johnny 'Dino' DiNatale joined me during the performance showing off his harmonica skills. This was the first time that I had a live performance broadcast on the radio on location. The person doing the engineering and sound for the show was Sam Kopper (shown on the left in the photo below). He was on the original staff of WBCN FM in Boston and was the first rock program director at the station. Sam Kopper is still involved with the evolved 'Free From BCN' on HD radio.
I had my debut performance at The Sand Dollar Bar in Dennisport (Cape Cod) at the end of the month of June. This was my first ever Cape Cod performance. Every Monday they have a pig roast at The Sand Dollar Bar. I will be playing every Monday through the summer. This is a 'mostly country' show. The first night was awesome!
June was a great start for a summer full of good times and music!
