Rocking It Out Of The Park For Autism

Last night I played a set at a charity event in Hanson Mass. It was the first Annual (Knocking it out of the park/Rockin it out of the park) combination softball tournament and live music party to raise money for and awareness of Autism. I met some really nice people at the event. You may know what Autism is but if you haven't seen the stats recently you should check out this web site. I want to thank the organizer of the event my friend Steve Kailher for inviting me to be a part of it.

My friend Cheryl who sings with the band Say What was there and she joined me to sing a tune. She sang an awesome rendition of Bobbie Magee (ala Janis Joplin style). Cheryl has an amazing voice. You can check out Cheryl's band on facebook.

After my set the band Right Turn Clyde rocked the place for the rest of the night. These guys were great. You can check them out online at the band's website.

It was a busy day yesterday. I also played for my friend's wedding during the day. Today I am playing for a friend's BBQ.

Next weekend I have one public appearance. I will be playing Friday July 2nd at Louis' Crossing in the Houghs Neck section of Quincy Mass.

Here is some review info for Louis' Crossing.

Other upcoming shows are at my web page http://www.jimmypeters.com/.

Rocking at O'Toole's in Whitman

Last night I had a great gig at O'Toole's in Whitman MA. O'Toole's is a fun place to hang out with good food, reasonable drinks and live music. Last night Rachel and Danielle were serving the drinks.

It's great when you see friends you haven't seen in a long time. It's even better when they bring friends to the show! :-)

There were alot of people having fun last night. My friend Jimmy got up and sang a Kenny Chesney tune. Steve K got up and sang Cat's In The Cradle. Another guy 'Bob' got up to sing Dock Of the Bay and Christine helped sing a couple songs I'm Yours and Every Little Thing Is Gonna Be Alright.
There was a lot of dancing and carrying on. Really fun times. Here is the 'before' and 'after' pictures of the night.

Next time at O'Toole's is July 23rd and I will have a band that night. I will be joined by Mike McHugh on bass and Mike Shea on drums. Come out and have some fun next month at O'Toole's!

Life's a Beach

Last Sunday afternoon I played at a new venue at Nantasket Beach called Daddy's Beach Club.

I met a nice lady at a gig recently and she told me about the place.

I met some really cool people at Daddy's Beach Club and the tunes were well received. Some pics are below and there are more pics on my web site http://www.jimmypeters.com/ in the 'happy camper' section.

I took lots of requests and covered most of them.

People were definately having fun.

I made some new fans.

In the afternoon it's a family friendly atmosphere.

The staff are really awesome, friendly and work hard to make sure everyone gets great service. Daddy's serves great pizza.

Later in the evening my friend Jim and his band Fumble Tongue played.

Looking forward to returning to play at Daddy's Beach Club. Scheduled to return Sunday, July 11th music and fun and games from 2PPM to 6PM. Come out and have some fun.
