December 2011

Rock and Roll Diary

The Fat Cactus

December started out with a fun show at The Fat Cactus in Randolph, Mass.  The Fat Cactus is a mexican food place that serves Margarita's by the pitcher.

There was a very cool guest appearance that night when a gentleman ask if he could play along with his saxophone.  I love crowd participation.  He was awesome.

It was a great night.

I also played a fun show at the end of the month at The Fat Cactus in Randolph.

More pics from that night are online here.

The Chateau

I played a couple of nice shows at The Chateau in Stoughton, Mass.  It is an awesome Italian restaurant.

My friend Dennis got up and played a song.

It was great to see friends at the shows at The Chateau.

More pics from the shows at The Chateau are online here and here.

Chubby's Bar in North Providence

There was a fun show at Chubby's Bar in North Providence.  Chubby's is a fun neighborhood bar that serves pub food.

My friends Chris and Chris from the band Touched and they got up and played a tune.

It was a fun night.

McGuiggans Pub

There was a fun show at McGuiggan's Pub in Whitman, MA.  McGuiggan's is a nice Irish place in Whitman Center.  They have a full menu.

Lots of nice folks were there that night.

Cappy's Tavern

I played for the first time at Cappy's Tavern for a rare Boston performance.

Cappy's is in the Hyde Park section of Boston.

Tinker's Son

I played my last show at Tinker's Son for the foreseeable future.

Folk's had fun.

Some people danced.

Maybe someday I'll play there again.  It was nice to play there throughout the year in 2011.

KC's Pub

I play once a month at KC's Pub in Weymouth.

 December was a fun show.

It was nice to see friends at the show.

One really nice thing that happened that night was I played the Cat Steven's song Father and Son and a lady actually danced to the song.  That is not normally a song someone would dance to.  I spoke with her about it and she said that the song had a special meaning to her and her brother who she just recently lost and it meant a lot to her to hear it.  It makes you feel good when your music can make that kind of impact on someone else.

St John's Athletic Club

I play at st John's Athletic Club once a month.

I played a number of requests that night in December.

The Chilihead BBQ

I had a great night at The Chilihead BBQ in West Bridgewater, MA at the end of the month.

It really was a fun night.

Hoping to be playing back at the Chilihead BBQ sometime in the first half of 2012, stay tuned.

Sunday Funday at Hajjar's

It was an unbelievable surprise to me when I played at Hajjar's this month.  The folks there love the song Rhinestone Cowboy and my friend who works the door there on the weekends has a name that fits well in the songs chorus.  So I sing the song with his name instead of Rhinestone Cowboy. :-)

Well when i did that this month he appears out of no where on the dance floor on a 'horse.'  It was really funny.

My friend Sven got up and played that night too.

We definitely have a lot of fun on those Sunday evenings at Hajjar's in Weymouth.

The Fat Cactus in Lynnfield (RT 1)

The last show of the year was at a new venue The Fat Cactus in Lynnfield (RT 1).

I got to see from great friends that I don't often get to see.

So it was a real treat for me.

My friend Jaime sang a song with me.  She is awesome.

I met some nice folks and got good feedback on the tunes.

Looking forward to playing at this location again in the Summer of 2012 (if not sooner)!
